Stephen King’s new book, Cell, sounds like an end of the world extravaganza complete with zombie-like crazies. They aren’t the walking dead variety, but more like the 28 Days Later type.
I have only read the first two chapters (courtesy of Entertainment Weekly), but the basic premise is that a “pulse” shoots through all the cell phones causing their owners to go ape shit. Biting, killing, and maiming people, doggies, and just about anything else they can get their hands on.
I dig the end of world, zombie stories so I will have to pick this one up.

BTW, I did read this and it was good. The ending kind of sucked though. It was one of those that left it up to you to decide what happened.
