It’s amazing what scientists can learn about the life of humans and animals by studying their remains and the old wounds that were inflicted on them:
- The 500 year old skull of an Inca man who died from a gunshot wound to the head sheds light on the conquistador’s invasion.
- A recently deceased whale had a fragment of a 100 year old bomb harpoon in it’s shoulder confirming that whales can live for a very long time.
- A newly found gladiator graveyard allowed scientists to take a look at how these warriors lived and died.
Pretty cool stuff!
