This is one of the cars from my Dad’s train set from when he was a wee one. He got it working and set it up around the Christmas tree for the kids (big and small) to enjoy.

Some more lights.

This mansion is all lit up for the holidays. I took this at a stoplight on the way home from work tonight.

Santa in a flying golf cart.

I don’t know what is about Marylanders and hanging crap above the highway, but I love it. Check out this pic of a plastic Santa Claus hanging from a crane. Also, Frosty is in the bucket of the other crane.

At night you can see the lights wrapped around these two plastic icons of winter and merriment. A very cool site to behold on my way home from work. Here is another shot of Santa a little bit closer up.

Sweet house.

My son and wife made this at a party while I was Christmas shopping. I think my blood sugar went up just looking at it.

Another one from our Natural History Museum trip. This one is of a huge wall mural of ancient sea monsters. You know, like Sigmund and the Sea Monsters.

I see the light.

Some crazy Christmas lights at a house near my parents. This picture doesn’t do it justice since the display was spread over two yards and also included various blow-up decorations, including Santa on a Harley.

It’s an elephant.

We took the boy down to DC today to see some dinosaurs at the National Museum of Natural History. This big guy (or gal?) was guarding the lobby.
